This defects analysis instrument was designed and built within the framework of a partnership between CEA-IRFU and POSITHÔT, and financed by the Departmental Council of the Essonne. The Défautscope Atomique is a versatile instrument which allows the measure of defects from the point defect (the size of one atom) to micro defects of about ten microns.
