The Atomic Defautscope is commissioned on the CEA-Irfu GBAR experimental platform at Saclay

The Atomic Defectscope has been installed on the beamline dedicated to materials science analysis on the GBAR development platform. It benefits from the positron beam produced by the first non-radioactive positron source, developed during the SOPHI ANR and SELMA ASTRE projects. Positron annihilation Doppler broadening spectroscopy is used to characterize defects in the studied matter.
